- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup canned pumpkin
- 1 1/2 cups mini semi sweet chocolate chips
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and grease a 9-inch square baking pan with cooking oil.
- Whisk the flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth, then beat in the egg and vanilla.
- Stir in the pumpkin, then mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, spread the batter in the pan, and bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Cool the bars in the pan for 15 minutes before cutting them into 15 pieces.
