Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 egg
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
- Beat the butter, white sugar, brown sugar, and peanut butter until smooth, then beat in one egg.
- Stir in the flour, baking soda, salt, oats, and 1 cup chocolate chips.
- Press two-thirds of the dough into the pan.
- Beat the cream cheese, sugar, remaining egg, and vanilla until smooth, then spread it over the dough.
- Drop the remaining dough over the filling and scatter the remaining chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until the center is set and the egg-based filling reaches 160 F, then cool before cutting.
