- 3 cups cake flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 3/4 cups light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/4 cups whole milk
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and grease a 13-by-9-inch pan with cooking oil.
- Whisk the cake flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Beat the brown sugar, butter, oil, vanilla, peanut butter, and eggs, then mix in the dry ingredients and milk.
- Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 32 to 38 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Beat the frosting butter, peanut butter, cocoa, powdered sugar, and cream until smooth.
- Cool the cake for 15 minutes, spread on the frosting, and cool for 5 more minutes before cutting.
