Ingredients
- 1 1/4 lb skinless boneless salmon fillets
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tsp grated lemon zest
- 4 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley
Steps
- Season the salmon with salt and pepper.
- Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the salmon for 3 minutes per side, until it flakes easily or reaches 145 F.
- Melt the remaining butter in the skillet, then stir in lemon zest and juice for 2 minutes.
- Spoon the lemon butter over the salmon and sprinkle with parsley.
