Ingredients
- 24 mozzarella string cheese sticks
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup italian seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 1/2 tsp italian seasoning
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup whole-wheat flour
- marinara sauce (optional)
Steps
- Coat each mozzarella stick with flour, then dip it in beaten eggs and seasoned breadcrumbs for 20 minutes.
- Arrange the coated sticks on a baking sheet and freeze them for 120 minutes.
- Heat the oven to 425 F while the sticks remain frozen for 5 minutes.
- Bake the mozzarella sticks for 8 minutes, turning them halfway through.
- Cool the sticks for 2 minutes before serving.
