- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 yellow onion
- 2 1/2 ribs celery
- 1/2 green pepper
- 1 cans (15 oz) mushrooms
- 1 cans (10 3/4 oz) condensed tomato soup
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 3/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 8 hamburger buns or other favorite soft bun like brioche
- grated cheddar cheese
Steps
- Brown the ground beef in a large pot for 8 minutes, until it reaches 160 F.
- Add the chopped onion, celery, and green pepper, then cook for 6 minutes.
- Stir in the mushrooms, tomato soup, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cover the pot and simmer the mixture for 10 minutes.
- Spoon the filling onto the hamburger buns and top with grated cheddar cheese.
