Ingredients
- 2 cans (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 can (12 oz) tomato paste
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup grated onion
- 1 tbsp garlic
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp italian seasoning
- 2 tsp dried rosemary
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 16 oz spaghetti
- 2 tbsp parsley
Steps
- Combine the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, water, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, brown sugar, Italian seasoning, rosemary, and bay leaf in a large pot.
- Bring the sauce to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer uncovered for 2 hours 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove the bay leaf and stir the Parmesan into the sauce.
- Boil salted water in a large pot and cook the spaghetti until tender, about 10 minutes.
- Drain the spaghetti, toss it with the sauce, and sprinkle with parsley.
