Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in pork chops
  • black pepper (optional)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 1/2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1 can (10 3/4 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 1/4 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch

Steps

  1. Season the pork chops with black pepper and heat the oil in the Instant Pot on sauté mode.
  2. Brown the chops in batches for 3 minutes per side, then transfer them to a plate.
  3. Cook the garlic for 1 minute, then stir in the wine, soup, and chicken broth while scraping the pot.
  4. Return the chops to the pot, seal the lid, and cook on high pressure for 8 minutes.
  5. Let the pressure release naturally for 5 minutes, then release the remaining pressure and check that the pork reaches 145 F.
  6. Whisk the cold water and cornstarch together, stir the mixture into the sauce, and simmer on sauté mode for 2 minutes until thickened.
