Ingredients
- 300 g sugar
- 3 eggs
- 180 g melted butter
- 700 g flour
- 100 g walnuts
- 4 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 220 g sugar
- 450 ml water
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and grease a 9-by-13-inch baking pan with cooking oil.
- Beat the eggs, 300 grams sugar, melted butter, and honey, then stir in the flour, baking powder, and walnuts.
- Spread the batter in the pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until firm in the center.
- Boil the remaining 220 grams sugar with the water in a saucepan for 5 minutes.
- Pour the hot syrup over the warm cake and let it stand for 10 minutes before cutting.
