Ingredients
- 3 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic
- 3/4 tsp chili powder
- 3/4 tsp ground cumin
- 3/4 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp coarsely ground pepper
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 3/4 lb beef flat iron steak or top sirloin steak
Steps
- Mix the lime juice, olive oil, garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Coat the steak with the mixture and let it stand for 5 minutes.
- Heat a grill to medium-high heat, about 400 F.
- Grill the steak for 4 to 6 minutes per side, until it reaches 145 F.
- Rest the steak for 5 minutes before slicing across the grain.
