- 3 tbsp salted butter
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp fresh herbs
- salt and freshly ground black pepper (optional)
- 3 1-inch thick salmon steaks
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- salt and fresh ground black pepper

Steps
- Season the salmon steaks with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the salmon steaks for 4 to 5 minutes per side until they reach 145 F.
- Melt the butter in the skillet and cook the garlic for 1 minute.
- Stir in the fresh herbs, spoon the garlic butter over the salmon, and cook for 1 minute.
