- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp cajun seasoning
- 1/2 tsp dried parsley
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- vegetable oil (optional)
- 1 jar (16 oz) sliced dill pickles
- flaky salt (optional)
- freshly cracked pepper (optional)
- homemade ranch dressing (optional)
- fry sauce (optional)
Steps
- Drain the pickles and pat them dry with paper towels.
- Whisk the flour, Cajun seasoning, parsley, oregano, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl.
- Pour the buttermilk into a second bowl and dip each pickle slice into it.
- Coat each slice in the seasoned flour mixture.
- Heat one inch of oil in a deep skillet to 350 F.
- Fry the pickles in batches for two to three minutes per side, then drain them.
