Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1 lemon
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and grease a 9-by-13-inch baking pan with some butter.
- Melt the remaining butter and stir in the brown sugar.
- Mix in the flour, oats, baking powder, and salt, then press two-thirds of the mixture into the pan.
- Bake the crust for 15 minutes.
- Whisk the condensed milk, lemon juice, and lemon zest until smooth, then spread the filling over the crust.
- Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the filling and bake for 15 minutes.
- Cool the pan for 45 minutes, chill it for 90 minutes, and cut it into squares.
