Ingredients
- 1 tbsp canola oil
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 4 tsp chili powder
- 1 onion
- 1 green pepper
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 8 hard taco shells
- 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup chopped tomato
- 1/4 cup chopped green onion
Steps
- Heat the canola oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium heat and cook the onion and green pepper for 4 minutes.
- Add the ground beef and chili powder and cook for 6 minutes, breaking it apart until it reaches 160 F.
- Stir in the tomato soup and beef broth, then simmer for 8 minutes until thickened.
- Warm the taco shells at 350 F for 3 minutes, then fill them with the beef mixture, lettuce, cheese, sour cream, tomato, and green onion.
