Ingredients
- 24 oreos
- 6 tbsp butter
- 4 packages (8 oz) cream cheese
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- extra crushed and halved oreos for topping (optional)
Steps
- Heat the oven to 325 F and crush 24 Oreos into fine crumbs.
- Mix the crumbs with melted butter, press them into a nine-inch springform pan, and bake for 8 minutes.
- Beat the cream cheese, sugars, cocoa, vanilla, and cornstarch until smooth, then mix in the chocolate chips.
- Spread the filling over the crust and bake at 325 F for 35 minutes, until the center is firm.
- Heat the heavy cream, stir in the remaining chocolate chips until smooth, and spread the topping over the cheesecake.
- Cool the cheesecake for 7 minutes before cutting.
