Ingredients
- 1 cup almond flour
- 2/3 cup cane sugar or granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder or cacao powder
- 1/4 tsp fine sea salt
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips/chunks (optional)
- 1/4 cup good quality extra virgin olive oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- flaky salt (optional)
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and lightly oil an 8-inch square pan.
- Whisk the almond flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Whisk in the oil, eggs, and vanilla until smooth, then fold in the chocolate chips if using.
- Spread the batter in the pan and bake for 20 to 22 minutes, until the center is set and the eggs reach 160 F.
- Cool the brownies in the pan for 5 minutes before cutting.
