Ingredients
- 500 g plain flour plus extra for dusting (optional)
- 250 g cold butter cut into 1cm cubes
- 3 onions finely sliced
- 170 g sage & onion stuffing mix
- 3 eggs
- 400 g mature cheddar grated
Steps
- Heat the oven to 375 F and grease a 9-inch pie dish.
- Rub the cold butter into the flour, add enough water to form dough, and chill it for 15 minutes.
- Cook the onions in a lightly oiled skillet over medium heat for 10 minutes until soft.
- Roll the dough on a floured surface, press it into the dish, and bake it for 10 minutes.
- Stir the stuffing mix with 1 cup water, then mix in the eggs, cheddar, and cooked onions.
- Fill the crust, bake for 35 minutes until firm, and cool for 5 minutes before slicing.
