Ingredients
- 4 oz bacon
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup onion
- 2 cans (15 oz) undrained pork and beans
- 1 can (15 oz) drained and rinsed kidney beans
- 1 can (15 oz) drained and rinsed butter beans
- 1 can (15 oz) drained and rinsed lima beans
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp dry mustard powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp liquid smoke
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F.
- Cook the bacon in a large skillet for 5 minutes until browned.
- Add the ground beef and onion, then cook for 8 minutes until the beef reaches 160 F.
- Stir in the pork and beans, kidney beans, butter beans, lima beans, brown sugar, ketchup, water, vinegar, mustard, salt, and liquid smoke.
- Pour the mixture into a 9-by-13-inch baking dish and cover it.
- Bake for 45 minutes, then uncover and bake for 10 minutes more.
