Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butterscotch chips
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 9 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
Steps
- Melt the butterscotch chips with 3 tablespoons butter in a small saucepan over low heat, then cool for 10 minutes.
- Beat the remaining butter with the brown sugar until creamy.
- Beat in the egg yolk, vanilla, and cooled butterscotch mixture.
- Stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt until a dough forms.
- Cover the dough and chill it for 120 minutes.
- Heat the oven to 350 F, place rounded dough portions on a baking sheet, and bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
