Ingredients
- 1/3 cup raw pistachios
- 12 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 6 cups blueberries
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and grease a 9-by-9-inch baking pan with cooking oil.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, until golden and nutty.
- Cool 8 tablespoons of the browned butter for 10 minutes, then stir it with the flour, oats, brown sugar, and salt.
- Stir the blueberries, cornstarch, granulated sugar, and lemon juice in the baking pan.
- Crumble the topping over the berries and sprinkle the pistachios evenly over it.
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, until the berries bubble and the topping is browned.
- Cool the crumble for 45 minutes before serving.
