- 6 tbsp light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups fresh blueberries
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and grease a 9-by-13-inch baking pan.
- Mix the brown sugar, half cup flour, cinnamon, and quarter teaspoon salt, then cut in 4 tablespoons butter until crumbly.
- Whisk the remaining flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Beat the remaining butter and granulated sugar until smooth, then beat in the eggs, vanilla, and lemon zest.
- Stir in the flour mixture and milk, then fold in the blueberries.
- Spread the batter in the pan, scatter the crumb mixture over it, and bake for 40 to 45 minutes before cooling for 15 minutes.
