- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb beef bottom round steak
- 1 small red onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tomato
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 12 egg roll wraps
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil for frying (optional)
Steps
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chopped beef, onion, garlic, tomato, soy sauce, vinegar, pepper, and salt for 10 minutes, until the beef reaches 145 F.
- Cool the beef mixture for 5 minutes.
- Beat the egg, place filling in the egg roll wraps, and seal the edges with the egg.
- Heat the vegetable oil to 350 F in a deep skillet.
- Fry the tequeños in batches for 2 to 3 minutes per side, until golden and crisp.
