Ingredients
- 24 scallops in shells
- 1 sprig fresh thyme
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1/2 onion
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley
- 10 oz unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup garlic
- 1 tsp fine salt
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp black pepper
Steps
- Heat the oven to 450 F and arrange the scallops in their shells on a baking sheet.
- Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat and cook the onion and garlic for 3 minutes.
- Stir in the wine, thyme, parsley, salt, and pepper, then simmer for 2 minutes.
- Spoon the butter mixture over the scallops and cover them with breadcrumbs.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the crumbs are golden and the scallops reach 145 F.
