Ingredients
- 10 oz dry spaghetti
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- kosher salt (optional)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup reserved pasta water (optional)
- 2/3 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- fresh parsley (optional)
Steps
- Boil salted water in a large pot, cook the spaghetti for 9 to 10 minutes, and reserve 1/2 cup water before draining.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat, add minced garlic, and cook for 1 minute.
- Pour in the cream and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring often.
- Stir in the Parmesan, pepper, and enough reserved pasta water to make a smooth sauce.
- Add the drained spaghetti and toss over low heat for 2 minutes.
