Ingredients
- 1/2 cauliflower
- 2 white potatoes chopped into small cubes
- 1 serrano chili pepper or to taste (optional)
- 2 inch ginger chopped
- 1 clove garlic chopped
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 pinch asafetida
- salt to taste (optional)
- 1/2 cup cilantro leaves chopped
- 1 tbsp oil
Steps
- Heat the oil in a large covered skillet over medium heat for 2 minutes.
- Add the cumin seeds, ginger, garlic, serrano pepper, turmeric, coriander, and asafetida, then cook for 1 minute.
- Add the potatoes and cook for 5 minutes, stirring often.
- Add the cauliflower, salt, and water, then cover the skillet.
- Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring twice, until the potatoes and cauliflower are tender.
- Uncover the skillet and cook for 8 minutes, then stir in the cilantro.
