Ingredients
- 2 lb baby back pork ribs
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 tsp liquid smoke
- 1 white onion
- 1/2 cup sugar-free barbecue sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cracked black pepper
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp chili (optional)
Steps
- Mix the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, cumin, and chili.
- Place the onion in a slow cooker and rub the ribs with the seasoning mixture.
- Pour in the broth and liquid smoke, then cover and cook on low for 5 hours.
- Brush the ribs with barbecue sauce and cook covered for 3 more minutes.
- Rest the ribs for 3 minutes before serving, checking that they reach at least 145°F.
