Ingredients

1 large knorr chicken bouillon cube
1/4 cup boiling water
2 cups long grain rice
1/2 cup pine nuts or slivered almonds
2 tbsp olive oil
1 cup vermicelli
32 oz chicken broth

Steps

Dissolve the bouillon cube in the boiling water and set it aside.
Heat olive oil in a large 4-quart pot over medium heat, then toast the pine nuts or almonds for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add vermicelli and rice, then cook for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring until lightly golden.
