  • 1 packets unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 8 oz tub of sour cream
  • 8 oz tub of cool whip
  • 1 can sprite
  • 2 cups 1 pint heavy whipping cream
  • 3 tbsp confectioners
  • 3/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps

  1. Heat the oven to 350 F and line a 9-by-13-inch pan with baking paper.
  2. Beat the eggs, sugar, and vanilla until thick, fold in the flour, and spread the batter in the pan.

  4. Sprinkle the gelatin over the milk, warm it in a small saucepan until dissolved, and cool it slightly.
  5. Beat the sour cream with the sugar, fold in the gelatin mixture and cool whip, and spread it over the sponge.
  6. Drizzle Sprite over the sponge before spreading the filling, then chill the cake for 20 minutes.
  7. Heat the heavy cream, pour it over the chocolate chips, stir until smooth, spread it on top, and chill for 10 minutes.
