Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tbsp 2% milk
- 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F.
- Beat the shortening, peanut butter, sugar, egg, and milk in a large bowl.
- Stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt until a soft dough forms.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the dough and roll it into a log.
- Slice the log into rounds and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until firm and lightly browned.
