Ingredients
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1/2 lb pancetta
- 3 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp shallots
- 1 lb fresh green beans
- 1/4 cup marsala wine or chicken stock
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper
- 1/4 cup toasted hazelnuts
Steps
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the pancetta for 6 to 8 minutes until crisp, then transfer it to a plate.
- Melt the butter in the skillet, then cook the garlic and shallots for 2 minutes.
- Add the green beans, Marsala, salt, and pepper, then cover and cook for 10 to 12 minutes until tender.
- Stir in the pancetta and hazelnuts, then cook uncovered for 2 minutes.
