Ingredients
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 oz unsweetened chocolate
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
Steps
- Melt the butter and unsweetened chocolate together in a small saucepan over low heat, then cool for 10 minutes.
- Beat the melted mixture, brown sugar, egg, vanilla, and milk in a large bowl.
- Whisk the flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda in another bowl, then mix them into the chocolate mixture.
- Cover the dough and chill it for 3 hours.
- Heat the oven to 350 F and roll the dough into 18 portions coated with granulated sugar.
- Bake the cookies for 12 to 14 minutes, then cool them on the sheets for 15 minutes.
