Ingredients
- 1 cup raw hazelnuts or unsalted roasted
- 1/2 cup raw walnuts
- 1 cup soft medjool dates
- 1/3 cup or more cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/4 cup non dairy milk
- 1 tbsp refined coconut oil
- 3/4 cup semi sweet chocolate
- 2 tbsp sugar or sweetener
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
Steps
- Pulse the hazelnuts and walnuts in a food processor until finely chopped.
- Add the dates, cocoa powder, first vanilla, salt, maple syrup, non-dairy milk, and coconut oil, then process into a sticky dough.
- Press the dough into a parchment-lined 8-inch square pan.
- Stir the chocolate, sugar, second vanilla, and remaining salt into the dough or sprinkle them over the top.
- Chill the pan for 10 minutes, then cut the brownies into squares.
