Ingredients
- 1 fresh baguette
- 9 slices fresh mozzarella
- 2 ripe roma tomatoes
- 1 pinch salt and pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp red wine vinegar
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic
- 9 slices salami
- 5 slices prosciutto
- 4 tbsp basil pesto
Steps
- Slice the baguette lengthwise and rub the cut sides with the garlic.
- Whisk the olive oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
- Slice the tomatoes and mozzarella, then season the tomatoes with the dressing.
- Spread pesto on the baguette, then layer in the salami, prosciutto, mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil.
- Close the baguette, press it gently, and cut it into four sandwiches.
