  • 12 oz. box of rice chex cereal
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (optional)

Steps

  1. Place the cereal in a large bowl.
  2. Melt the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter in a microwave-safe bowl for 1 minute.
  3. Stir in the vanilla and salt until smooth, heating for 30 more seconds if needed.
  4. Pour the mixture over the cereal and toss gently until coated.
  5. Shake the coated cereal with the powdered sugar in a large covered container.
  6. Chill the puppy chow for 15 minutes before serving.
