Dirt Cake

This chilled pudding dessert layers crushed chocolate cookies with a smooth cream cheese and whipped topping filling.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 3/4 cups cold 2% milk
  • 2 packages (3 2/5 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 carton frozen whipped topping
  • 1 package oreo cookies
  • optional: gummy worms and shaved white chocolate

Steps

  1. Crush the cookies into fine crumbs and set them aside.
  2. Beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth, then mix in the confectioners' sugar.
  3. Whisk the cold milk and pudding mixes in a large bowl for 2 minutes.
  4. Fold the pudding into the cream cheese mixture, then fold in the whipped topping.
  5. Layer the cookie crumbs and filling in a 9-by-13-inch dish, ending with crumbs, and chill for 15 minutes.
