Ingredients
- 1 lb linguine
- 8 oz mushrooms
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley
- 2 shallots
- 3 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp butter
- salt and pepper (optional)
Steps
- Boil the linguine in salted water until tender, then reserve 1/2 cup cooking water and drain it.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat and cook the shallots and mushrooms for 6 minutes.
- Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Pour in the wine and simmer for 3 minutes.
- Stir in the cream, Parmesan, parsley, salt, and pepper, then simmer for 3 minutes.
- Toss the linguine with the sauce, adding cooking water as needed.
