Ingredients
- 4 tbsp salted butter
- 1 large shallot
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 tsp dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
- 3/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 20 oz frozen spinach
Steps
- Thaw the spinach and squeeze out as much water as possible.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the chopped shallot and garlic for 4 minutes, until soft.
- Stir in the cream, mustard, salt, pepper, garlic powder, nutmeg, and cayenne.
- Simmer the sauce for 5 minutes, stirring often.
- Add the spinach and Parmesan, then cook for 8 minutes until hot and thick.
