Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
Steps
- Beat the butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar until smooth, then beat in the egg and vanilla.
- Whisk the flour, baking powder, cream of tartar, and salt, then stir them into the cream cheese mixture.
- Cover the dough and chill it for 20 minutes while heating the oven to 350 F.
- Mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl, then shape the dough into small balls and roll them in the cinnamon sugar.
- Place the cookies on lined baking sheets and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the edges are set; cool them on the sheets for 5 minutes.
