Ingredients
- 1 knob butter
- 2 pork chops
- 4 bacon
- 2 potatoes
- 1 carrots
- 1/2 swede
- 1/2 cabbage
- 1 bay leaf
- 100 ml cider
- 100 g chicken stock
Steps
- Melt the butter in a large heavy pot over medium heat and brown the pork chops for 3 minutes per side.
- Cook the bacon in the same pot for 4 minutes until lightly browned.
- Add the potatoes, carrots, swede, cider, chicken stock, and bay leaf.
- Cover the pot and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes.
- Add the cabbage, cover again, and cook for 8 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- Check that the pork reaches 145 F before removing the bay leaf.
