Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 3/4 cups milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
Steps
- Melt the butter and let it cool slightly while heating the waffle iron.
- Whisk the milk, vanilla, eggs, sugar, and melted butter in a large bowl.
- Stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt just until combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.
- Lightly oil the hot waffle iron and pour in enough batter to cover the plates without overflowing.
- Cook each waffle for 4 to 6 minutes, until golden and firm.
- Repeat with the remaining batter, lightly oiling the iron as needed.
