Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake

This sour cream Bundt cake folds chocolate chips into yellow cake batter, then finishes with a warm chocolate cream glaze.

Ingredients

  • 1 box (18 1/2 oz) yellow cake mix- without pudding
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 8 oz sour cream
  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups mini chocolate chips
  • 6 oz chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Steps

  1. Heat the oven to 350 F and oil a 10-inch Bundt pan.
  2. Beat the cake mix, sugar, sour cream, oil, eggs, and vanilla in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Fold in the mini chocolate chips and spread the batter in the pan.
  4. Bake for 48 to 55 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Cool the cake in the pan for 15 minutes, then turn it onto a rack.
  6. Melt the 6 ounces of chocolate chips, butter, and heavy cream in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  7. Drizzle the glaze over the cake and sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top.
