Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp lemon zest
- 3/4 cup cold butter
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and grease a 9-by-13-inch baking pan with cooking oil.
- Rub the cold butter into the flour, 2/3 cup sugar, and lemon zest until crumbly, then reserve 1 cup crumbs.
- Stir the baking soda, baking powder, and salt into the remaining crumbs, then mix in one egg, sour cream, and vanilla.
- Spread the batter in the pan, then spoon over the cream cheese mixed with 1/4 cup sugar, one egg, and lemon juice.
- Spread the cherry pie filling over the cheese layer and sprinkle the reserved crumbs on top.
- Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, until the center is set and the top is golden.
