  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup butter
  • 12 oz cream cheese
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 5 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup fishers pecan halves (optional)

Steps

  1. Heat the oven to 350 F, grease three 9-inch round pans, and line their bottoms with baking paper.

  3. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in one bowl, then beat 1 cup butter with sugar for 4 minutes.
