- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 1/2 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger
- 2 green onions
- 1 lb large shrimp
- sesame seeds (optional)
Steps
- Whisk the cornstarch, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, and 2 tablespoons water in a bowl.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook the garlic, ginger, and green onions for 1 minute.
- Add the shrimp and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side, until opaque and cooked through.
- Pour in the sauce and simmer for 2 minutes, stirring, until thickened.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds if using and serve hot.
