Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1 cup white granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 tbsp oil
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 6 tbsp cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp almond extract or 1/2 cup chopped almonds
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and grease an 8-inch square baking pan with oil.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat, then stir in the sugar, oil, milk, cocoa, and vanilla.
- Beat in the eggs and almond extract until smooth.
- Stir in the flour until no dry spots remain.
- Spread the batter in the pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the center is firm.
- Cool the brownies in the pan for 15 minutes before cutting.
