Ingredients
- 2 cups almonds
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp orange blossom water
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 beaten egg
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 tbsp orange blossom water
- 3 tbsp pistachio
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and line a baking sheet with cooking oil.
- Grind the almonds with the three-quarter cup sugar, cinnamon, and pistachios.
- Mix in one egg and one tablespoon orange blossom water to make a firm filling.
- Mix the flour, salt, butter, oil, and remaining orange blossom water into a soft dough.
- Roll the dough thin, cut small pieces, fill them with almond mixture, and shape them into crescents.
- Brush the pastries with the beaten egg and bake for 18 to 22 minutes until lightly golden.
- Cool the pastries on the baking sheet before serving.
