Ingredients
- 24 oz whole button mushrooms
- 3/4 cup italian seasoned bread crumbs
- 5 tbsp butter (optional)
- 1/4 cup finely minced yellow onion
- 2 1/2 cloves garlic
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 1 tsp parsley
- salt and pepper (optional)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 400 F and lightly oil a 9-by-13-inch baking dish.
- Clean the mushrooms, remove the stems, and finely chop the stems.
- Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat, then cook the stems, onion, and garlic for 4 minutes.
- Stir in the bread crumbs, garlic powder, parsley, salt, and pepper, then cook for 2 minutes.
- Fill the mushroom caps, arrange them in the dish, and bake for 16 minutes until tender.
