- 4 tbsp chili powder
- 2 1/2 tsp ground coriander
- 2 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp minced onion
- 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 2 cans (15 oz) kidney beans
Steps
- Combine the chili powder, coriander, cumin, garlic powder, oregano, and cayenne in a 6-quart slow cooker.
- Heat cooking oil in a skillet over medium heat, then cook the beef and minced onion for 10 minutes until the beef reaches 160 F.
- Add the cooked beef, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and kidney beans to the slow cooker.
- Stir the mixture until the spices and ingredients are evenly combined.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours and 20 minutes.
