- 1 onion
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 2 lb cabbage
- 1 cup homemade tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup vegetable broth
- salt and pepper
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
- fresh parsley for garnishing (optional)
Steps
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the chopped onion for 4 minutes until softened.
- Add the ground turkey and cook for 7 minutes, breaking it apart, until it reaches 165 F.
- Stir in the cabbage, tomato sauce, vegetable broth, salt, and pepper.
- Cover and simmer for 12 minutes, stirring once, until the cabbage softens.
- Stir in the peas, sprinkle on the mozzarella, cover, and cook for 5 minutes.
