Ingredients
- 1/2 cup orange marmalade
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tsp sesame seeds
- 1/2 tsp fresh gingerroot
- 1 clove garlic
- 3 tbsp chinese white rice vinegar or 3 tablespoons other white vinegar
- 1 lb salmon fillet
- 6 scallions
- 1/4 cup toasted sesame seeds (optional)
Steps
- Whisk orange marmalade, sesame oil, sesame seeds, ginger, garlic, and vinegar in a small saucepan.
- Simmer the glaze over medium heat for 4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Heat an outdoor grill or grill pan to medium-high heat and oil the grates.
- Grill the salmon skin-side down for 4 minutes.
- Brush the salmon with glaze, turn it, and grill for 4 minutes until it flakes easily or reaches 145 F.
- Grill the scallions for 2 minutes, then brush the salmon with remaining glaze and add sesame seeds if using.
